Dr. Dan Calow, DC, BScHK
Medical Acupuncture Provider
Dr. Dan Calow grew up in Peterborough where he was an avid participant in the Peterborough athletics community, playing all kinds of sports like hockey, football, rugby and lacrosse. His interest in performance and movement led him to Ottawa where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa in 2011. His passion for movement, rehabilitation, and therapy combined with his experiences in chiropractic as a high school football player led him to pursuing a career in chiropractic.
In June 2015 he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. Along the way he received his accreditation as a Contemporary medical acupuncture provider from the McMaster University Contemporary Acupuncture program. His goal is to improve the lifestyle of every patient by reducing pain, improving movement, and maximizing function using conservative, drug-free therapy techniques. His focus is on assessing, diagnosing, and devising individualized care plans to treat conditions and injuries to the nerves, muscles, and joints of the body. Because of his background, he has a special interest in working with athletes for injury prevention, return to play, and optimizing performance, but he believes all patients are athletes as physical activity and movement are key to a healthy lifestyle.
