Trent Health in Motion is seeking a pelvic health physiotherapist with strong clinical reasoning and communication skills to join our multidisciplinary team. Our clinical team includes an orthopaedic surgeon, sports medicine physician, physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, athletic therapist, dietitian and a kinesiologist. We can offer part-time hours and the opportunity to grow to full-time. We are located in the Athletics Centre on the beautiful campus of Trent University.

We provide physiotherapists with:

Our ideal team member:

  • Has completed Pelvic Health Solutions Levels 1-3, and is rostered with the CPO to perform internal pelvic exams
  • Has experience providing pelvic health treatment and education to pregnant, post partum patients
  • Has interest in the role of pelvic health in low back and hip pain, as well as in general sporting populations
  • Is available to work at least 2 days per week
  • Is compassionate, personable, and a team player
  • Is open to participation in health promotion and clinic marketing initiatives
  • Communicates with family doctors/specialists by writing assessment and progress notes when requested

Interest/experience in Sport Physiotherapy, and/or completion of Orthopaedic Division manual therapy courses is an asset, although all applicants will be considered.

Our clinical team includes an orthopaedic surgeon, chiropractor, physiotherapists, massage therapists, athletic therapist and physiotherapy assistants. We can offer full-time hours and the opportunity to grow to a full caseload quickly. We are located on the beautiful campus of Trent University and our staff have direct access to a state-of-the-art Swimex Hydrotherapy pool as well as a fully equipped gym in the Trent Athletics Centre for use with their clients, and discounted rates for personal gym memberships.

In order to support continuing education we offer mentorship with two FCAMPT physiotherapists, bi-monthly clinical in-services on relevant topics, and we regularly host courses. For the motivated physiotherapist there are opportunities to collaborate with the university on research and teaching. For those interested in athletics, there are many opportunities for both field and clinical experience with Varsity athletes as our staff provide game coverage for all Trent Varsity sports and pre-season testing.

Trent Health in Motion is seeking an athletic therapist/registered massage therapist with strong clinical reasoning, manual therapy and communication skills to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. Our clinical team includes an orthopaedic surgeon, chiropractor, physiotherapists, massage therapists, athletic therapist, and kinesiologist. We can offer part-time hours with the opportunity to build to full-time. We are located on the beautiful campus of Trent University and our staff have direct access to a state-of-the-art Swimex Hydrotherapy pool as well as a fully equipped gym in the Trent Athletics Centre for use with their clients.

We support continuing education with regular clinical in-services on relevant topics, mentorship, and we regularly host courses.

This position would involve seeing clients within the clinic, as an AT/RMT, and also providing sports coverage during Trent Varsity sports and other school and community events. The ideal candidate would have experience in both these settings, and have completed sports first responder training.

We are looking for an individual with a friendly, professional, and positive attitude, who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary setting and has an interest in continuing to grow and learn.

Our ideal candidate:

  • 2+ years experience (but recent grads are also encouraged to apply), with a desire to continue to grow
  • Advanced manual therapy skills
  • Interest and experience in sport coverage
  • Experience with concussion management (on field and with return to play management)
  • Good clinical reasoning skills and proficient with exercise prescription
  • Experience working in clinic settings
  • Interest in continuing education and professional development
  • Values collaboration within a multidisciplinary team
  • Friendly, caring, flexible and motivated
