Past Courses Hosted at THIM

At Trent Health in Motion, we are proud to regularly bring industry-leading educators and evidence-based curriculum to Peterborough and the Kawarthas. Here is a look at some of the learning opportunities we’ve hosted:

Featured Past Course: The Female Athlete - Level 1 Course (Antony Lo)

  • Instructor: Antony Lo, PT ("The Physio Detective")
  • Overview: In April 2026, we brought world-renowned Australian physiotherapist Antony Lo to Peterborough for The Female Athlete - Level 1 Course. This high-impact, hands-on weekend bridged the gap between pelvic health and performance, equipping PTs, coaches, and trainers with practical tools to help active women continue lifting, running, and competing safely without stopping high-impact exercise.

Other Courses Hosted at THIM:

  • Non-Internal Introductory Pelvic Health Course | Pelvic Health Solutions
  • Running Resiliency: The Movement Optimism Approach to Tending the Runner's Ecosystem | Greg Lehman

Host Your Course at Trent Health in Motion

Are you a course provider or educator looking for your next host city? Peterborough and the Kawarthas is home to a growing, engaged community of health and fitness professionals, and one that's currently underserved when it comes to local CE options.

Here's why the region is worth a look:

  • Growing Regional Hub: Peterborough serves as the core urban hub for the Kawarthas, home to a regional population of roughly 130,000 to 135,000 residents.
  • High Demand for Rehab Care: Nearly 25% of the local population is aged 65 or older - well above the provincial average - driving strong, sustained demand for musculoskeletal, rehabilitation, and healthy-aging care.
  • Retention & Upskilling Matter: Rural and regional Ontario communities lose primary care providers at a rate of 12% annually (roughly four times faster than major urban centers). Local upskilling and professional development are vital for keeping skilled clinicians practicing in the region.
  • Aligned with Regional Health Priorities: Local health system partners, including the Peterborough Ontario Health Team, actively prioritize bringing healthcare and specialized services closer to home. Supporting local clinician education helps ensure our regional healthcare ecosystem remains strong, collaborative, and high-quality.Hosting with us means access to a built-in, engaged clinician audience without the overhead of finding your own venue. We handle local promotion through our newsletter and social channels, so you can focus on delivering great content.
