Dr. Jessica Hewitt grew up in Edmonton, AB, where she completed her BSc in Kinesiology (with Distinction) and her MSc in Physical Therapy. She went on to receive her medical training at the University of Limerick. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Indiana University, where she was a Chief Resident, and then went on to complete her Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, OH.

She moved to Peterborough to start a family with her husband, but remains an avid Edmonton Oilers fan. She has competed in a wide variety of sports, including rugby, rowing, and fitness, and has been lucky enough to work with a wide variety of athletes at all levels over the years.

Currently, she assists with Peterborough Petes’ coverage, and continues to enjoy an active lifestyle in her spare time.
