Physiotherapist
Michael Williams

Michael is passionate about helping clients recover fully and achieve their health and fitness goals, with a clinical focus on musculoskeletal conditions and sports-related injuries. His approach combines advanced manual therapy, individualized exercise programming, and client education regarding their condition. This integrated method supports effective rehabilitation, prevents recurrence, and empowers clients to take an active role in their recovery.

Michael’s goal is to get to the root cause of the issue, while also treating the pain, impaired function, or reduced performance that led the client to seek physiotherapy care.

With extensive experience working with athletes at all levels—from recreational to elite—Michael remains committed to continuous professional development. He holds a Master of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy from Western University and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). He also earned a Master’s in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University (2010) and an Honours Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Toronto, where he captained the Varsity Basketball team for three seasons.

In 2018, Michael and his wife, Reanna, became the owners of Trent Health in Motion with a shared vision to expand its multidisciplinary team and offer a broader range of health care services. Their goal has been to create a collaborative clinic environment that delivers holistic, evidence-informed care—an approach they believe best supports clients and fosters a rewarding, engaging practice for clinicians.

Outside the clinic, Michael enjoys strength training, running, cycling, basketball, and golf—though as a busy father of two, these pursuits sometimes take a back seat!
